A Mystical Day . . .

Last night, my wife surprised me with an early birthday present.  I received a text message informing me that we would be leaving for Mystic, CT as soon as I got home from work.  We traveled to the Stonecroft Inn for a relaxing evening alone. This may sound "normal" to those of you readers who frequently "get away".  But having five children under 10yrs. old made this mini vacation a miracle of miracles.  We arrived at the inn and spent a relaxing evening talking about the "old days" and searching the web for shops to visit in the morning.  This morning we woke to a winter dusting of snow which made the coffee taste even better as we walked the streets of downtown Mystic...  Thanks Becca for all the memories...

The Silent Observer. . .

Here's a capture taken a few days ago... It resonated with me in a very powerful way.  Looking at this image, I see how important EVERYTHING we do is to our children.  Even when you don't think they're aware. . . think again.
